My feed store doesn't have the best options for gamebird feed and I feel like my golden pheasants need a bit better diet than what they're currently getting. Does anyone have abd experience and/or recommendations on making my own golden pheasant feed? Im planning on getting 2 or maybe 3 bins to keep each individual ingredients I'd need to mix for their feed. My feed store does sell big bags of individual ingredients such as whole or cracked corn, wheat seeds, and various other types of bird seed. I'm not entirely sure if even a small amount of corn might hurt their systems... The hens are molting rn so I want to make sure they're on the absolute best mix of feed possible.

I also heard that they love sunflower seeds so I was wondering if perhaps 10% of their feed mic could be sunflower seeds? I know they shouldn't have a ton or anything, so maybe more like 5-8%?

I have seen them eat hornwort out of their pond as they seem to love snacking on it, I used to have a massive amount of it but now it's just a few strands in the deeper parts at the center of the pond.

I did try giving them some pinky mice one time and they loved it which I also thought was kinda cool
