What to use on a wound???

One of my hens has a wound on her leg that is bleeding.. My wife and i gave her a warm bath, dried her off then wrapped it with gauze and then taped it. I am wondering if i should spray anything or apply something to it?? Thank you

so far the only thing i have used is blu-kote. it is a topical antibiotic. it stains VERY easily. i like it alot because it also camoflages the wound so it doesn't attract pecking from the other birds.

ok, i have some pine tar. Is that simmilar to blu kote?

i don't know because i'm not familiar w/pine tar. i've heard of it forever, just not familiar w/it. it sounds like it would seal the wound. that can be good unless bacteria is already in there. then you have a wound that can't drain & you can't get to in order to treat.
if you're familiar w/ it, i would seriously consider using it.
