what to wash duck hatching eggs with?

will verkon-E work.... if so what solution (strength) should i mix, to wash them in....

Personally I never wash them at all. If they're very muddy I might use a dry sponge to brush some of the dirt off but otherwise I don't wash. Washing can take the bloom off and allow bacteria to enter the egg, causing death during incubation. I have heard that those that do wash their hatching eggs use Oxine.
