What took my ceramic eggs from the nesting boxes last night?

I have 5 laying boxes in the back chicken building. Four of the boxes had one ceramic egg in them. They were gone today. My chickens are free range and are never locked up, but do roost around the building. What would have taken them?
They could have been kicked out but it seems strange that all 4 would be gone in one day. They only animal I can think of that would take 4 ceramic eggs are humans.

They are not in the bedding, as there is no bedding. It is a chicken building, but my chickens are free range and not locked up. I had not thought about a coon, but wondered about a pack rat. Anybody had a rat issue? It is too cold here for snakes!

I too am having such problems, but I use golf balls, also to cold for snakes. Rats, maybe but I keep poison out for them. Human, not here they all fear me, I am known to shoot. Dogs, not likely as mine would go nuts having a dog in their yard. Opossum, maybe not sure yet, I will catch it, whatever it is. Coon, also maybe as they are here, but why would they come back for more??? And they wash their food and I see no signs at the creek.
I have had hens kick balls or even eggs out of a nest, but not often. My rooster watch the goose cover her eggs and started telling the girls to do the same, I found this odd, but they did it.
IDK if any of this helps,, but there it is,, good luck!

I have no neighbors, so mine can't be human and there is no chance a dog could have done it. It could be possum or coon. I usually keep poison out for the rats, but have not checked my bait boxes lately. I'll do that this weekend.
