What treat did your chickies get today?

Its so funny how every flock has their own special likes & dislikes. I've seen that a lot of people give their chickens broccoli- mine wont even peck at it. But, man, if I go out there with a handful of grapes or cherry tomatoes, they are all over me!

My girls got their first pumpkin yesterday! They loved it.

They also got the turkey carcass, post broth making, from Thanksgiving this week. Also loved that....

3 peaches that were going soft plus some squash guts. And some lettuce leaves that they totally ignored.

Leftover breakfast oatmeal with milk and raisens. Two soft apples. Cup or so of Pedigree puppy food that had gotten wet and was soft...that was a big hit. Snails off the hosta, some of which are like some kind of snail magnet...chickens wouldn't touch... lots of bill scraping.

Today, besides the scratch, they got some 'webby' Kashi cereal, that must've been in the cabinet too long (I hate pantry moths!
