What treats are good/bad for chickens?

Tuna. Albacore, to be specific, fresh from the docks. WOW, they go NUTS for the stuff.

Apparently pizza, as well. Had dinner on the patio last night and came out of the house with a beer for myself and one for the girlfriend who was calling for help - she was surrounded by chickens who were intent on eating the slice of pizza that was in her hand. I thought that she was going to be mobbed by them!

Hmm, I like to grow those so I'll keep that in mind.

About once a week we clean out the refrigerator & it all goes in a big pan in the chicken run. You should see them finish off a pork roast! A general rule of thub is if you can eat it they can eat it. You don't need to worry about them eating somethig growing that is harmful to them, they know better.
I have never heard that too many Sun Flower seeds are harmful & would love to know where that information comes from.

My girls have been getting mostly egg layer feed but we have slowly been tossing in leftovers and such. They LOVE cooked rice! The banana peels get missing but I haven't seen them eat any. Apples seem to be a winner and I know this is going to make some cringe, but they will fight over some left over chicken scraps (meat only).

I also would like to know the issue is with the sunflower seeds. My girls and I enjoy sitting down with a bag of Ranch flavored ones.
