hi i have a flock of 12 11 hens and 1 rooster they are about 6 to 7 months old the hens started laying abot 2 months ago i give mine meal worms lettuce water melon and lots more what do you feed your flock:)

I give them tiny baby red table grapes. They go insane for them! Also fresh corn on the cob. I also get sunflower seeds, meal worms, and millet.

Mine go crazy for this stuff from the feed store called Chickie Garden Picnic...it comes in a little bag and its full of yummy things like herbs, worms, shrimp and seeds! They also love cucumber, watermelon, fig and grapes. For some reason they do not like bananas or carrots (yet...) they're only 11 weeks so who knows where their taste buds will take them as they age

yes that sounds awsome in a chickens eyes haha mine will follow me around al the time for treats they stay right behined me :lau

Mealworms, cooked oatmeal with honey/coconut milk, and bread. I also boil the extra eggs and feed them back to them and the chicks.

Mine are enjoying watermelon in this heat.
Warning: they will poop dark pinkish poop after eating watermelon.
The first time I saw the poop I panicked. I have Corid in my CX RX toolbox and was running to BYC to check the proper dosage when I slapped myself and realized it definitely was NOT blood in that poop. I am an old ICU nurse and I know from blood, avian or human. Not blood.
Did a search for watermelon/chicken poop and it put my mind at ease.
Gotta love those birds. :love
