What type and genders are these?

My dad rescued these chickens but knows nothing about them. Any help would be appreciated. Breed or gender?

Both look to be hens to me, mixed breeds of some kind. The black one is quite striking looking! It's hard to tell from the picture, but it does look like it has decently sized spurs on each of it's feet.

Those aren't spurs. Those are fifth toes, which means that this breed, being standard, is a cross since it doesn't look like any of the 3 standard five toed breeds.
Because it is cleanlegged, it is likely a Houdan cross.

Well like I said it's hard to see, I just noted the extra appendages and thought they looked more pointed. The location makes more sense for them to be extra toes.

The first one looks like a legbar cross. The second maybe a leghorn crossed with a sexlink or some other red breed. Just my opinion though..

Black one is a cross. Given the crest, extra toes, dark skin, what looks like feathered feet and silver pattern on the head/chest, I would guess Silkie with something else (something Birchen colored or silver laced, I would guess). Not seeing common leg bar traits in her though... I am not an expert though so others could know more than I! Don't know about the lighter one but it might be a buff laced or sex-link cross (like chickenFarmer4life suggested). However, these are just my guesses.
