What type of chicken is this? Thought it was a Cochin but she has a pea comb. Brahma?

I got some eggs from a hatchery, mixed breeds, thought it would be fun to figure out what we got. I thought this chick was a Cochin, she has feathers on feet, but she has a pea comb. She was pretty much all black when she hatched, a little gray on her belly. Now her feathers are coming in, could this be a Silverlaced Brahma? The chick is about 5 weeks old now. Any help is really appreciated!

By mixed breed eggs, did you get eggs from mixed breed chickens or eggs from a mix of different breeds?

It is a Brahma, but I'm not sure what color that would be. It also has the wrong color legs, but that can happen with hatchery birds.

Hopefully someone will be by soon that knows more about Brahmas.

They were from different breeds, they weren’t supposed to be “mixed breeds” sorry for confusion. Someone said she was a dark Brahma but she didn’t have the stripes on her back like they do when they’re chicks. Is it possible she’s a Cochin and has the wrong comb? Thanks for your reply!

Not as feathered as a Brahma should be either I just noticed.

Very odd. I feel like maybe you got a mixed breed in with your mixed eggs.

She’s feathered in more since I took the pics, she’s not actually 5 weeks til tomorrow. I’ll post more pics in a couple weeks maybe then it will be more apparent what she is, or that she’s just a mixed breed. Thanks for your responses!
