What type of chicken is this?

I’m not sure. We don’t have her yet so that’s the only photo I have.

Well my best guess is a barred rock!

Do you know the age?
If young, the lighter barring could indicate male. It does also have a large wattle, although it isn't red yet. Some hens also have lighter barring, if they are hatchery stock. I'm just going to assume its a Barred Rock. It could also be a Dominique, depending on the comb. But I can't see anything in the pic.

They said she’s about 18-19weeks but they said she’s for sure a hen. We can’t have a rooster so hopefully they are right. Said she’s scared of the flock so she’s a loner that likes to be carried around and cuddled. They thought Sussex but I have no idea.
