Maybe you can see the legs on them in this pic...

Here is another photo of our pets that have not laid any eggs and we are wondering if they ever will..

Its feathers look like my sussex. Except my girls are more round and combs aren't as big. I think the front one is a boy. his wattles are big.

I can see why the one poster said the front one is a girl - doesn't look to be any "rooster" feathers. But man, that comb and wattles!! How old are they (if you know)? Are there any "hen feathered" roosters other than sebrights? I think the black one is a girl [IMG] Does she have a small crest? Possible pyncheon or a cross? I'm not super familiar with the breed, but I know they have small crests kind of like that.

The black one could possibly be a hatchery black Modern, I think Ideal has them. It does not look like it but if its supposeed to be a pure breed thats what I'd guess.

Quote:We only bought them at xmas the black one has grown heaps and really does not have a crest yet something is growing but we dont know what and the speckle one is getting fatter and bigger and there is no crowing from them like a rooster so we are hoping they will be egg layers and not roosters very hansom both of them. It is very confusing with all the comments as to what they really are so I suppose we will just have to wait and see.
