I would agree.. it depends on your handling ability and intentions.
How much experience have you had with large dominant dogs?
How much effort to training and socializing do you plan to invest?
Can everyone in your household handle a large dog?
Will you have a job for this type of dog?
Will you be willing to work through behavior issues if you don't follow
through with some of the above questions?
Lots of things to consider!
My personal favorite breed is a Cane Corso... but they are a different kind of dog, they take a lot of work, patience and some times you have to get down right tough with them. NOT everyone can handle this kind of dog. Especially because we are also trying to protect the breed from going the same direction of the pit etc..
