My Runners have times of quacking pretty loud thankfully we don't have close neighbors. lol

That is awesome you gave the ducklings a safe home.

Don't you worry a dog or another predator will get Francois when you take him to the park?

I take them early morning when no one is around or in the evening. My husband is always alert as well in case of any dogs nearby. We are making our yard more duck friendly too, having a small pond built fpr her and we have more grass for her to lay in. Do you think if I get her a duckling she will get along with it or will they fight?

The stance has me thinking your duck may be an Indian Runner cross. Also I am not certain that it is a hen.

The best way to introduce one duck to a new duckling/duck is by letting them meet through some type of fencing and live side by side for a while especially if a very young duckling since they can't take up for themselves at all. Sometimes all it takes is a few days but usually it's a little longer. At this time you bring them out to be together when you can be there to stop Francois from getting to over bearing with the duckling. A large dog kennel can work to keep the newbie in while Francois is getting use to having a friend. Soon they will be best buds.
