what type of ducks should I get?

I’ve heard that saxonys and Pekin ducks are great friendly breeds. However the Pekin duck is a meat breed and can end up with leg problems because they get heavy. You have to watch how much they eat to keep them healthy.

So l am new to the duck thing but have had chickens for years. The Muscovy are awesome in my humble opinion. They are friendly, funny and QUIET! My husband wouldn't allow anything louder than a chicken and these are so easy going. The drake makes funny noises when he calls the girls, like a cross between a hiss and a coo. The girls just trill a bit and go their own way. I do have them in a pasture so finding the eggs isn't hard. Also if you leave them in there house in the morning for a bit they will usually lay there. (or so I've heard)
