After a little more research, I agree with Sillychicken

GREEN SUNFISH

http://myfwc.com/wildlifehabitats/Nonnative_FW_GreenSunfish.htm

Notice the dark vertical bars, wormy looking characteristics around the mouth area and black "dot" of "spot" on the rear of the dorsal fin

but hes more black&blue then green.

and hes got white around the ooutter edges of his fins

I've caught quiet a few like those up here in a creek. I always thought that they were a hybrid between a warmouth and a pumpkinseed or sunfish. Thats how they have the lined fins and the blue "veins" on them.

oh ok. well anyway. i have another question.how does everybody like my setup?i know its small and im tryin to convince my step granfather to give me his big 75 gallon, but it dont seem to be working.

I do like your set up and your understanding that they will need a ar bigger tank as they grow. also it apears to be a very new set up, has the tank been properly cycled? because theses guys eat more and put out way more waste then dozens of smaller fish int he same tank. heres a link to cycling a fish tank if you didnt already know and understand, its based on tanks for little bity betta fish but the idea is exactly the same.
