Grey (malard colored) runners would have facial stripes.........

I drove down to Corvallis and picked some up personally from Mr. Holderread earlier this season.

It could be a dutch hookbill
I got 5 of them last week and 2 of the 5 were marked like that. Could easily be mistaken for rouens except that now their bills are changing
