What type of predator can stretch a bird's cage? NEED HELP!

Yep !!! COON, they are very smart and can figure out how to get a meal, they don't really pull it through whole, just parts and as those parts get devoured thet can pull more through until the meal is done. They also will remember your buffet and continue to come back, stay prepared. Sorry about your chicken.

I lost 3 hens and one rooster to raccoons. I'm left two roosters!
I'm not sure if I should get more hens though, it's tough losing them.

Yeah, I know,
I like to have broke down when I saw all my silkies scattered everywhere, but I love the heck out of them and the addiction is harder to break than crack LOL
Dont let it discourage you too bad, we need all the chicken lovers out there we can get.
Take a little time, and get you some more, you'll be glad you did in the long run.
If you want some eggs from some of our odd ball stuff, I'll even send them to you for free , just to keep you in the hobby!
Dont like to hear of folks wanting out, we got to keep ya with us!

If you or one of your friends or neighbors have a live trap I would set one out before dusk and put a can of Tuna in it.

You will have your culprit in the morning. More than likely he will be back every night until he can figure a way to get in the pen again.

Definately a coon though.

Good luck.

Would be nice to say it was quick death. Rare in nature for it to be quick.

Racoons eat a pcs. at a time as the bird is alive. Dogs and cats kill by playing with the birds slow death for the birds

Sorry but thats the truth. Even on this forum people find birds still alive after the attacks
