Thanks! I don't have it in my hand yet. I just agreed to buy it locally off of FB Marketplace. I'll have it in hand by Thursday. I thought Japanese Bantam as well... the blending of the black & white feathers threw me off. I know it was a yard bird in east Texas.

I'm not sure what breed it is.... but seeing it really brought back memories!! It looks almost identical to a pet rooster I had when I was a tiny child!
'Spot' was also an East Texas yard bird.
