What type of rooster is this

    Well, I think he's probably a mutt. He doesn't look like any cock I've ever seen, but I'm sure I haven't seen them all. Maybe someone else can pipe in?

    He had one barred parent, probably a barred rock, and one non-barred parent. If he came from a hatchery it would be a black sex link rooster. He'll probably get more yellow/gold color in his long feathers as he ages, and may also get some different colored feathers coming out, depending on what the other parent was.

    And I agree, appears to be a black sex link. The specific parents are anyone's guess.

    not a funky comb, think it is a rose comb, just google rooster comb types and you shall be able to figure out which comb it is.
