What "type" of silkie?

I'd definitely say silkie polish hen. I have a silkie ameraucauna cross that has the same sort of shape as her, but yours looks more polish than mine. How old is she? She def looks like a she to me

It's a silkie/polish cross.
Like this one from the internet.
They're called Polkies.

I agree, pullet. At 15 weeks old, she would be showing her full male saddle feathers, and she doesn't have those.

FYI... even if she was male, she would be a cockerel not a rooster. Chickens are pullets and cockerels until they're a year old, after that they're referred to as hens and roosters.

The Polish X Silkie crosses has recently been given the name Polkies. Look up Polkie chickens, & ignore the search bar that wants to correct you with Silkie chickens?
It sounds like a designer cross name.

No association recognizes it I'm sure.

It looks to be a beautiful Pullet!!! She has a nice puff...males of both Silkie and Polish breeds have a more fly away hairdo.

Thanks for the reply - we think she's beautiful too! I think a previous commenter was correct when they said Polish/Silkie cross.
