The pullets you hatch out will lay brown and light green eggs!
The light green coming from being fertilized by my Amerecauna? I know some were mated by my Chocolate Roos as well.

Ok. That makes it confusing! I'll keep them for my egg flock and stick to my Orpingtons and Amerecaunas for my breeding/show flocks. Lol. They do lay really well.
Another question.... How do Barred rocks compare to them as far as egg production?

The Cock bird should have at least one blue egg shell gene. The blue egg shell gene is dominant so if he passes it to the chicks, the egg shell will be blue. The brown comes from the cinnamon queens. If he passes a white egg shell gene, the eggs will be brown. You can get a mix of egg from that breeding combination
Go here and have fun playing with the genetics@ronott1 my Amerecauna hen is black with that iridescent sheen, we are looking at some lavenders to add to the mix of colors. If I cross a lavender roo to her and a lavender hen to my pictured roo.... What kind of genetic combos and colorings could I look forward to?
Red Sex Links
". quote " are a breed cross producing sex linked chicks. The cross is most often a red breed, such as RIR, or New Hampshire Red, crossed with a white breed, such as Deleware, White Rock, etc. since there are different crosses, people call them different names, like Golden Comet, ISA brown, Red Star, etc., just to name a few. But in the end, they are just Red Sex Links!
Where did you get your roo? Are you sure it's not a EE?
