What was I thinking? Baby Pekin thinks I'm mommy.

I have a problem. Yes, the addiction.
I just stopped by the hatchery yesterday to browse....
and came home with a little yellow White Pekin fuzz butt. It was all alone, it needed me!
Well, I had no idea how much it would need me. I cannot get out of it's sight without it crying. As soon as it see's me it is happy again.
I can't get another duck! I wasn't supposed to get this one!
I tried putting a "mommy" in it's pen last night, didn't help.
What can I do? I have things to do. I can't do laundry with a duck on my shoulder! It can't hang on like a parrot.



Help?

I think a little white duck shoulder ornament would be lovely - make a nice pocketbook hook

Yes, but then the laundry wouldn't stay clean for long . . .

Not much you can do. Even if you had a few, they would still all imprint on you and not want you to leave them in their brooder. However, it is kind of sad that this one is all alone. Ducky diapers?

I was always told to get at least two ducks or you will need to be around the duck all the time. They are social animals and need others. Hopefully with age, the ducky will get used to it.

You might be able to find someone here who either knows how or would be willing to make some for you . . . Terrielacy comes to mind, but I don't remember if she's done it before or not.
