What was I thinking?

My DS is going away to boot camp Monday. And he is the main chicken care-taker. I am the backup person, my daughters unwillingly fill in when necessary.... and we already have about twenty five chickens, of which 9 are roosters. anyway, TSC has chicks. Red Star pullets...I started longing for them....asked my DS to pick up three. Just three. He picked up eight. They are on the way home now. Am I crazy?

Just think of the extras as back up incase some thing happens to the others. LOL We have all been there and done that! I went to pick up one Blue Wyd and came home with 5 to make sure I at least got one pullet and 1 roo. Whos to say I prob. got 5 roos LOL serves me right!

....She left the store with 3 bantam chicks

(1 silkie and 2 cochins)

and 3 cornish rock X's

(or dinner in about 8 weeks or so).

46 chicks at home, 6 more hatching tonight and the incubator is full again . . . . . .

WHY did I go to TSC ??

PLUS......went out to the barn two days ago....Hedwig's baby Izzy Lou is sitting on twelve eggs! When it rains, it pours, I guess.....
