Oops, correction on my post. Three of my four mutts are sisters, almost identical. They are Cochin/Silkie x Barred Rock, all good layers of small to medium eggs. The fourth mutt is a RIR/Buff Orp pullet from Julie (BamaChicken). She was a good layer then went into a molt, but she's showing signs of getting back on the nest soon. One of the PoufyHead Sisters was the very first egg I ever hatched-pip and zip 15 minutes from start to finish, began laying at 18 weeks old.
