What was I thinking???

Just got back in from feeding and watering, Lookin at our garage that I've turned into a dang hatchery and draggin a bucket of food and a bucket of water. My too big bibs getting heavy with snow, draggin my pj pants down around my ankles underneath my bigs. Thinking 6 pens down 11 more to go....I start to wonder what was I thinking!!! LOL

I had one of my almost grown mottled cochin roo's fly to the other side of the lot when I was feeding one pen, He landed in all that snow and got stuck!! LOL I had to rescue the poor lil guy, he just sat there like hmm??? now what?? The standard cochin roo decided to run into the garage and stand 2 inches infront of a space heater running full blast....we were waiting on him to go up in flames at any minute....LOL after all this I realized these are the moments that make me realize how much chickens can be an entertainment and makes all the mess ya go through to take care of them worth it...

My hubby was dying laughing wathcing me get ready to go feed yesterday.

3 layers of sweatpants. camo jacket, ski cap, muck boots.....

He says why 3 layers........... I said cause the top 2 are going to be soaked with mud when I get back....

Maybe the UPS man recognizes true beauty---despite the baggy bib/pjs!!
