What was your first car??

Brings back great memories. My first car was a brand new 1992 Ford Escort GT. My grandpa bought it for me when I was 16. How nice was that?? I loved it. Now I've got a boring old Mom-mobile.

i had a 1992 mercury topaz. that thing was a tank!!! and fast! the mechanic that worked on it all the time (it was a POS) said they used the same engine in the mustang gt's that year. so i had lots of fun in that thing. but i couldnt put a dent in it no matter how hard i tried. i am so glad i got a crapy car for my first car, it taught me you need to be nice to them, or they will break.

First car 1980 Chevy Chevette. When I first saw it every panel was a different color and a shag carpet that was spray painted blue...

It was rebuilt by my Dad who must have needed a project. But did that thing run. Made some money off of bets.. Dont ask

OMG! The first car I ever actually owned by myself was a little red Opal Kadett. The back window fell out every time you pushed it open!...I never knew anyone else who had one!

I love Opel cars , but the freakin metal cant keep up with the long lasting engines. I forgot one more car, my also ver much loved cant kill it even if you try VW Kaefer aka the beetle , think it was a 81 or a 39 it had 34- 36 hp motor.

Conny,
Jeez, we must have been seperated at birth...I learned to drive in a 1949 Willys. It was the greatest vehicle ever for impressing guys. lol Plus we could run around all week end on $5 worth of gas in that thing back in 1970.

The little car/truck thingy was either a Ranchero (Ford) or El Camino (Chevy)
Here is my favorite ride today...

First car, 1949 Plymouth coupe, I purchased in 1966 for $200. I was going to college and working three part-time jobs. One I made 50 cents per hour, one 75 cents per hour and the other one was about five hours per week that grossed $35/month. My ex-husband blew the motor up in it the first month we were married (in '68)

Mine was a 1972 Maverick; bright orange with black racing stripes, air shocks and chrome wheels. It was a present from my FIL. I was a 21 year old mother of 2 with no driver's license. He also paid for driving lessons because "That girl needs to drive."
