I left a feed bucket on top of a row of nesting boxes and one day I saw an egg in it. I added hay and I had an egg each day. Then one day there were three, then the next day seven eggs. So funny how this happens. And I have another row of nesting boxes, four in a row and the ladies will only lay in the two left ones. They really prefer only the left one. I guess thought that if one is laying and another is really ready to lay, she will go into the next one. But they seem to find and have a follow spot and follow what the others do.
How about you?
Oh, so I decided to put three more of my feed buckets up there with hay in them. I mean, what they heck, if they like the feel of the feed buckets I will give them other options.
