I tossed the rest of the eggs this morning. These were from my own chickens., so I was checking fertility anyway.

I haven't seen anything growing, and some were due to hatch. They started out okay, (when I candled at 10 days) but when I opened them today, there WAS an embryo about the size of a dime. The humidity was good- I kept it at 50%, and my temps were at 100-101 degrees.

I would just like to know what may have gone wrong, so next time I'll know. Maybe I candled too much? I did add eggs on different days- would that have made a difference that much?

I’d also love to know what went wrong with mine! We have hatched Our own before using the same incubator and a broody hen. No issues. This time I actually purchased eggs and had them shipped which arrived in perfect condition only one day in transit. Out of 9 2 hatched. 2 I dumped after 10 days as they weren’t fertile. Another stopped developing by day 18 so that also went. But out of the final six only 2 actually hatched. Very bizarre. These 2 are the most expensive chicks I have ever hatched!
