ok I pipped on air sack. the baby is still moving and I did not hurt the membrane. I am happy about that. The other baby died though

If he dont break his membrane tomorrow is there a way I can do it with a safety pin or something or just leave him alone?

Chickens hatching early on day 20 suggests that the incubator is a bit too warm.

It could very easily be that the temps are not as uniform as they might be, and the others are just doing their thang.

I'd leave them alone until they are into day 22. Then I might intervene. Eggs can hatch up to 2 days late.

It's a fine line we tread. Some chickens are fine following intervention, but some eggs were never meant to hatch, even if they developed a long way.

How about duck eggs? This guy is moving around and today is day 29. should I give him another day? How do I break the membrane if he dont hatch tomorrow or on saturday morning ?
