What were the corniest bands that you listened to as a kid?

MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice were probably the corniest groups I can remember. Boyz II Men was overplayed, but probably not all that corny.

Luckily, I didn't like New Kids on the Block, and I was too old to like Kriss Kross when they started out.

Rainbow ruled when Dio was the singer. Joey Lynn Turner was ok but no Dio. I go all the way back to the Monkies. Saw them in concert at the Cape Cod medley tent on their reunion tour. Not a bad show actually.

For whoever couldn't remember who sung safety dance the name of the band was Men without Hats.

I think the band Poison heads my list of corny bands though.

I still love The Archies: Sugar, Sugar. I met Ron Dante at a free concert about 3 years ago. It was my first record from the back of Super sugar crisp cereal that we had to cut out of the back of the box. When he asked who got sugar sugar from the back of the box I was the only one that screamed Me Me. I played it until the needle ripped through the cardboard. Two of my girls (chickens) are named Betty & Veronica
