What were your favorite toys as a child?

My brother, youngest of the litter of 3 - got a bus driver set for a gift. The hat, the hole puncher and a coin holder. He loved it. He had anyone that rode the bus(any bus) save the transfers for him. After studying them, he learned the streets and could tell folks how to get anywhere. Smart kid.

BTW I ended up with his coin holder and hole puncher, ssshhh I don't think he every noticed.

@drumstick diva awesome thread!!!

My favorite as a kid was trains anything to do with trains, I’ve never done it but still want to build a train track system in a room or through the hole house (wife would kill me). Trains now a days aren’t what they use to be, but I can still sit at a crossing and just watch as it passes and not be like most the world and get upset because of the delay. We have a restaurant close by, and the trains run on that track like every 20 minutes, family loves the food, so we go there and I’ll eat and watch the trains, ya I know little big kid thing going on.

My most memorable collection, that I had was the California raisins from Hardee’s back in the day. I was probably preteen at the time, but a great family friend was manager at the local Hardee’s, for his after retirement from the army thing to do. I would ride my bike up there and see him once or twice a week, and he would have any new or special editions held out for me. To this day I still don’t know what happened to that collection, I have to assume it’s somewhere in dads attic..

I had two guys like that

And they had the horses.

I built a town, and they was there as the mounted police, that was fun - toy town, there are cars, one toy crane and two guys in medieval robes on horseback as a police force.
I took them to serve in the police when my parents gave me such a machine

Calico critter dollhouse! Oh my goodness, so many tiny little things (little food, a toaster, spatulas, books, sodas) and all these cute little animal families. The lights in the house actually turned on and off. I got mine when I was around 1 or 2, my mom had more fun with it than I did I think! I still have everything tucked away for when I have kids.
