I keep the feeder extremely clean but they always poop in it somehow. They are almost full grown chickens and i want to know what is the worst thing that can happen if they eat some of thier own poop

Chickens eat poop. It's how they share probiotics and build flock immunities. What's the worst thing that can happen? It can gross you out. The chickens don't care. It's normal. It's natural.
Even if they eat too much of it? Is there such a thing as too much poop eating for them? Genuinely curious. :P

I was just wondering if they could get worms or something and then transfer them to me when i eat the eggs

Welcome to BYC!

A little bit of poop is actually good for them as said above, they are getting good bacteria. But yes, too much is not a good thing. Can cause cocci and give them worms and other pathogens. I would try elevating your feeder so they can't poop in it. Either hang it or put it up on a cement block or something. Just out of reach of falling poop.

Enjoy your flock and welcome to ours!

@TwoCrows Thanks for the info. If I get chooks I was going to use one of those Grandpas feeders to keep the food clean (and stop waste.)

X 2 Grit particles in the poop are especially regarded as treasures. In a farm setting chickens frequently glean partially digested grains from the feces of other farm animals - normal and natural.
