What will happen when i mix breeds :)

Hi all,
I am thinking of starting a hatchery sort pf business for the summer as im low on money i know a lad i can get a good65egg incubator for 75€ i have a few questions
1 i currently have 4RIRs and 3Light SUssexs (1 is currently on day 16 of sitting on 10 eggs) i also have a mixed breed cockerel i am wondering what will my chicks look like will they still look like RIR or light sussexs ? Or should i get rid of my mixed breed cock and focus on breeding 1 breed not a mix i hope some of you can help

Not sure how the chicks would look as I don't know what the rooster looks like. I personally would cull him and get a new one. Most pure breed chickens will sell for more money than a mix. Golden comets and black stars are some of the exceptions though. I also wouldn't breed hatchery birds. Focus on birds that conform to the standard. People will pay more for a quality bird.

He is a nice ornament, but not breeding quality type. How about getting an Ameraucana roo so you can make Easter Eggers no matter which hen the rooster crossed with? People buy EEs in a heart beat.

An Ameraucana over a brown egg layer will result in an olive egger. People do buy these.
