Am a new member here. I have 3 hens light sussex, cockoo maran and a cream legbared which all shared one rooster black minorca.
I have some eggs from each hen in the incubator and would like to know if I can sex link them at day old?

With the light Sussex, you will get black chicks. No sex links.

With both the cuckoo Marans and the Cream Legbar, you will get a black sex link. Males will have a light spot on their head, females will not have that spot. The chick swill be black.

So any chick with a spot is male. A chick without the spot may be either male or female. The Light Sussex is the one that will mess you up.
