I could make some educated guesses. But they would only be guesses.

Guesses are fine, I know it’s almost impossible since both of these chicks’ parents are likely already crosses and they are still pretty young.

• Dad is either Burt, a BR/RIR cross, or Atlas, a Barred rock. Mom is likely Tilly, my black star ( black sex-link )

• Pretty sure the dad is Rex, my cuckoo maran cross. Mom is either one of my black star or black australorps.

#1- leaning towards cockerel, but the larger comb could also be due to leghorn ancestry from the isa brown/red sex link

ahhh, that’s what I was guessing too and I don’t know how I feel about someone else thinking the same thing. I’m hoping all are/were pullets because I already have 6 roos lol

But, yeah, my pullet, Nelly, picked a really weird time to go broody and I was wanting to see how reliable she was before putting boughten, expensive hatching eggs under her

It's really too young, but your impression is the same as mine. First two, cockerels, last, pullet. But everything could change when they get a bit older. The last chick particularly seems young, and it is showing a touch of wattle development, so don't count your pullets just yet.
