Pearl is pushing two years old this year, she has already hatched 4 clutches of baby chickens. This year she decided to first lay 16 eggs in the dead of winter during a "cold snap" that we had in Georgia. All of the babies died while hatching 
I felt bad for her, so a shoved a few chicken eggs under her. At this same time, my White Chinese Goose, Pepsi, started a clutch. This is Pepsi's first laying season (not yet a year old) and she just keeps laying eggs (there are 16 out there now) and never sits. So for giggles, I stuck three of those eggs under Pearl. Three weeks past, the 5 baby chicks hatched out and I took those away as goose eggs take about a month to hatch. This morning I go check on Pearl, and she is now the proud "momma" of three baby geese.
