Oh, interesting! I never thought about her mottled bill being a sign of cross breeding, lol. I just remember it started off dark when she was little and got lighter over the weeks/months.Great pics, yeah looks much more evident to me, would say swan goose mix for sure. And based on the mottled beak as well since the Steinbacher only has blue/black markings at the tips of the beak.
Another general question I've been wondering, what does this gosling think I am to her? She has her mom and dad, but I was around within the first 1-6 hours of her hatching (sometime between 12:30-6:30 a.m., not sure when, lol). So she knows she's a goose and imprinted on them but still seems to like me quite a bit. She gets excited when she sees me and heads toward me. She knows I bring the duck feed, too, haha. So I'm hoping she thinks "Grandma," lol.
