Hello! We just had our first gosling hatch from the mom 6 days ago. And I've been curious what it might look like when it gets older and was wondering what people's opinions might be.
The dad is on the right, a Roman Tufted. And the mom is on the left, no idea what she is. She was supposed to be Roman Tufted as well, and the picture I was sent of her with her parents had both white-feathered parents (the dad with a tuft, mom without). But I wonder if eggs got mixed up at some point or if the mom mated with someone else? She just doesn't seem to have any Roman Tufted qualities (brown eyes, no tuft, etc.). But she also doesn't look like a pure breed of any other gray-feathered geese I've looked up, like Greylag, Toulouse, Chinese, etc. She's not as thick as they are and doesn't have certain features they seem to. So I assume she's a mixed breed of some sort.
This is what the dad looked like at 3 weeks old:
And the mom at 4 weeks old:
The new baby definitely looks like a blend of them to some extent, brownish eyes, dark bill and feet, and yellow fur:
Any ideas? Thanks!! =)
