What Works Better?

What in your epierience have worked better: a Broody or a Bator. What hatched out a better majority?

I have better luck and hatch rate with an incubator. My broodys do okay when I set eggs under them but I like the hatch rates with incubators better.

I can hatch more eggs with the 'bator, now that I have the Genesis 1588. But, having a broody means I don't have to mess with keeping chicks in a brooder. So when a hen goes broody, I also put some eggs in the 'bator. When everybody's hatched, I stick the 'bator babies under Momma.

Hatch rate for me is about 50-70% more or less with an incubator and about 90% with a good broody, but it depends on the hen.

hen's better in my country, no matter how many times those useless power company make power outages, they will survive. lol
