What would be good for my dogs to lay on outside??

I have one dog who prefers to be outside during the day. He has his own outdoor kennel, dog house, and runs the area we fenced off at certain times during the day. ( He loves to play with chickens. He thinks they are squeak toys.

) I think the only time he is actually clean is when it's snowing. Otherwise, it's mud.

We use a thick layer straw to cover the ground in his kennel. He loves it, and he even helps us spread it around when we lay fresh stuff down.

He does the same thing in his dog house. He arranges it just so. He gets upset when the other dogs mess up his dog house. I think he's slightly OCD.

That's weird. Ours will have their crazy half hour and run on and off them, but they haven't ever turned one over.

ETA That particular brand or that design in general? There are some cheaper kinds (I think Target and Walmart sell one) that don't stand up to much at all.

Shelters normally use them and I have never seen one flipped.
There are several companies that make them. But sometimes you get what you paid for. KWIM?

Horse stall mats are perfect! Rubber, lots of padding, easy to clean. From what i know they are super durable and stay cool in summer.
