What would be the best barred breed to use to make..

A barred polish and/or sultan. I have sultans and polish already. I would like them to stay small though as I like bantams better then large fowl. What small breed could I use to add the barred look to my current bantam polish and bantam sultans?

You could try bantam Barred Rocks or maybe even Cuckoo Silkies? Those were the first two that came to mind..

Thanks, but I wont have an incubator till late July. Im looking for either adult birds or well started chicks to work with. And I dont like the white headed cuckoos T.T <3 but perhaps I will ask them what they used if they made them birds themselves.

I would say that would be your best bet to start and just breed away the white crest. That would be much easier than a cross.

You ought to contact the Polish Breeders Club. They should be able to help you find some breeders. There are some solid black polish out there. You should be able to cross black with white crested cuckoo and eventually get cuckoo birds.
