What would be the ideal Protein % for almost 1yo hens

They'll be 1yo in early june, their on an 18% flock raiser, can they go down to a 16% or is the 18% more ideal.

My hens eat Natures Grown Organic Layer 16% protein. 18% is good for young hens (18 to 20 weeks of age). 16% protein is good for more mature hens (beginning at 50-80 weeks of age).
