Rubio is not aggressive at all. He lets me hold him and enjoys attention, especially getting his wattles rubbed. In the coop or run, he's easy to catch, but give him taste of freedom and all bets are off!I have a Taz . . 'nuff said, lol. I've only had hands on Taz maybe 5 times since he was 2 weeks old. He's now 7 months old. I have to break out the net when I need to grab him.
I also have a side yard I'll put the birds in when I need them out of the way if I'm cleaning their run. I'll have most of the birds lured in and Taz will stop dead at the gate and alarm call, they all scatter back to the main yard or run. He's lucky he makes really cute chicks or I'd roast that bird, lol.
The little bugger calmly scratches and pecks (always with one eye watching me closely,) just beyond reach. He preens for me, "talks" to me and does all the wonderful little behaviors I find so endearing, until I bend down to pick him up. Then he's off like a shot! He stops just out of reach and the whole show starts over again. I have to herd him (without his realizing it) into a corner so I can trap him - and he squawks bloody murder about how I'm horribly I'm un-aliving him. Once I have him firmly in-hand (and start playing with his wattles again) he's fine. He's such a stinker!
I'll try to get a good pic tomorrow when I move them. I'm overdue for picture tax, anyway!
