What would cause ONE puncture wound? Hawk talon?

My roo was attcked yesterday and has one punture wound. What predator would cause this? His leg is also completely limp and his foot won't grab. The wound is under the wing, above the leg that is unresponsive. It seems very strange and I just can't figure how it happened. Maybe a hawk grabbed then dropped him from up high? He will not stand up, even on the leg I think is fine.

Not sure ,clean up that would and give him some time to rest in a small quite area (still in the flock area if you can, I use a small dog/cat carrier in the day.

if you have another rooster it could be a dominance fight injury. (at first it sounded like a breeding injury on a hen)
