Chirping
It was raining all day yesterday so I moved my quail into a smaller enclosure where they would be safe (we live in an A level flood zone). They were also in complete darkness for about 24 hours due to a tarp over the smaller enclosure. I only have 6 females right now due to recent raccoon attacks and I've only witnessed 3 of them laying. I get an average of 2 eggs per day on normal days with the occasional day of 3. My birds are 9 weeks today so some just haven't started laying yet. So, anyway, the rain has stopped so I went to move them back to their larger enclosure this morning and I found this:
I've never gotten a white egg before. I don't know if one of the 4 who have never laid has started laying or if the conditions were too stressful and it caused something to go wrong...
Any thoughts?
