so last night when we checked on all the animals everything was normal
But when we were putting the chicks outside this morning 3 of our isa brown chicks were gone !!
The only thing it left was the wings legs and hearts
During the day they are kept outside in a covered run and at night we put them in a stall in the horse barn
We do have a kitten who is around 6 months old

Yes the barn is completely enclosed but the top of the stalls are open the door to the barn was left slightly cracked for the barn kitty's to go in and out but the door to the stall was locked

Raccoons would just climb over that, and eat the bird there.

If a 6 month old cat can get in and out, a predator can get in and out. How big are the chicks?

I don't know if you have foxes where you live. However, if a cat can get in the barn, a fox can too and they love chicken...
