Ok Illia,

Since I am a ding dong what is the difference between those pics and this. My cuckoo roo chick.

Is it the distinctness of the barring or is it that it is a wavy barring or is it the two colors? And would I breed him back to black to get the crele.

Crele is basically a barred duckwing - So you'd need a good barred bird and a duckwing, then cross the barred offspring to duckwing again. With what you and I have, the barring is already pretty blurred and spaced, so it may or may not work - But what you need to do is cross him to a duckwing, preferrably golden. (although a duckwing male and barred female works better)

I forgot, do your barred Araucanas have the dilution/leakage mine do? Or are any of them old enough yet for you to tell?

They are still young but I dont see any color leakage in their feathers. I do have a couple of really light barred pullets. Almost cant see their barring. This guy is the darkest. I thought about breeding him to a black hen and seeing if the barring would crisp up a little. But I don't want to waste my duckwings on another project when I havn't even got my duckwing project off the ground.

He is just a neat looking bird and I can't make up my mind if I want to keep him or not.
