I think I could edit the HTML to change the colors but I'm a bit scared....

Why dont you go to "cutest blog on the block" and download a free back ground. It explains how to do it and everything.It's easy too. Also, if you dont like the selction they have, there are other free blog background sites out there just search the web.

Sorry I was trying to check it out for you. I couldn't tell for sure if you can change it via HTML or not. there were some other background templates to use. Also when you are building your blog, do you have free righn to put in text boxes? If so you might be able to use the blog background.

No, the template is already built in. No real customization options short of mucking through code.

Here's what I can easily customize:
The header (a simple matter of clicking a few links)
The sidebar (not too hard, just a small matter of clicking and dragging)

I kind of wish that all code were as simple as BBCode.
