What would make my rabbit loose it's color?

I have a buck that had gray nose, ears, ect. and the color faded away and now he is solid white. He is heathy otherwise but I have never had this happen so I figured I would ask if anyone else has

Is your rabbit's living quarters in or near the sun?

It's under a large oak tree and is mainly shaded but does get some son plus he has a hutch that he can get inside of.

Maybe he is likt eh cuyuga duck . AS they ade the females turn from black to almost pure white !

No he's just now about a year old. I didn't think about the sun though so maybe it's a possibility that he's get's too much sun. I'm going to move his pen and try that.

Rabbit coats can fade alot if the rabbits are in the sun for decent amount of time. Also the coats can change by the rabbit maturing. I have 8 rabbits. Three of them 2 Netherland Dwarfs and 1 English Angora, have coats that have either lightened or darkened a great deal since I bought them when they were 3 mos old. They don't even look like the same rabbits. LOL
