11am was the last time I saw her. There was no sign of struggle, no feathers, no blood. My other duck doesn’t seem bothered or scared at all! What would take my duck without leaving anything behind? A opossum, raccoon, cat? What can I do to prevent this? I want my duck to be able and free range during the day... If she starts showing signs of depression I may get her another friend or find her a new home, but for now what can I do? I check on my ducks every two hours at least, if not every 45mins. I’m in the city. I walked up and down the neighborhood looking in bushes or trees for a body. I asked all surrounding neighbors if by any chance she flew into their yard- nothing! She’s a Cayuga, fairly small, could she have flown? She seems to have only been able to sustain flight in a downward slope if she ever did try to fly- never could get a boost more than 4ft and she was surrounded by a 6ft+ privacy fence! I’m so sad.
